.:: web ::.
The following are some selected examples of my web work. The web is an area that excites me, and I really appreciate the opportunities for creative communication that it offers. Check out each project below for more information.
Alberta Snowboarding Association
- XHTML and CSS
- PHP
- RSS
- Mac OS X Dashboard Widget
This website was created for a non-profit organization as part of a school group project. The main issues the client wanted to address were overall usability, a more unique and discernible brand presence, and to make the site easier to update and maintain. They also desired a means to properly inform members, as well as potential members, of the association about upcoming events. As Creative Director, I was responsible for making sure that all of these goals were met. In the end, we were able to effectively create a more dynamic brand through the design of the website, and included CSS, PHP, and RSS techniques to address usability and maintenance issues. We also were able to create a Mac OS X widget that users of the site could download and place on their desktop that would deliver up-to-date information using the pre-existing RSS feed. Overall, I was very proud of how this project turned out, and was happy that we could create such a successful solution for our client. I would also like to thank Devon Wallace, Colin Sproule, and Diana Khabibullina for all their hard work in making this project a success.
Scrumptious Scarves
- XHTML and CSS
- PHP
- MySQL
This website was completed for the purpose of creating a fully functioning eCommerce website for a class in Internet Production and Design. As a site that sells up-market scarves, I wanted the design to reflect the feeling someone has when they think of a nice warm scarf, while maintaining a look and feel that seemed refined and polished, communicating the idea that the company is an honored veteran in their chosen market. The website also includes a working dynamic order form, scripted in PHP. I really like the way it turned out.
Note: This website was created to be displayed using the Mozilla Firefox browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, it may not display properly.
