The following is some of the interactive work I have done. I really enjoy adding interactivity to projects, and creating an interface that a user can interact with and learn from.

Captain Touque and The Mine of Demise

Captain Touque

This Flash game was one of my most ambitious projects last year. Previously, I came up with the idea of a miner with a big white touque as a game hero, and this was the realization of that. I wanted it to have a sort of "classic" video game feel, like the ones I played when I was little. This one was a lot of work, but completely worth every second.

Chinatown Map

Chinatown Map

As a group project, we had to create an interactive map about an assigned area in Calgary, with points of interest. I was given the role of project leader for this application, which turned out to be a bit of a challenge because of the lack of detailed information on our location. In the end, everything came together quite nicely, and I feel that we really captured the essence of Chinatown with our design. Thanks to my group, Umer Tahir and Diana Khabibullina.

Monster Creator

Monster Creator

This was a fun project. At the end of last semester, we were told to create an interactive Flash presentation of any kind. I had been talking to my partner, Colin Sproule, for a while about making a custom character builder, and we chose monsters, mostly because of our mutual love for them. The final Creator included five different characters that can be mixed and matched at your leisure, as well as a "viewing" mode with five backgrounds so that your newly-created monster can be viewed in different environments.
