The following work has more of a purely artistic focus to it. One rule I set for myself in all my designs is to try to communicate a clear message or feeling, and while these pieces are less commercial than some of my other work, they still hold true to that standard.
It Happened Too Fast...
For this project, the idea was to create a collage for a poster. Inspired by the lyrics to one of my favorite songs, I created this piece, symbolizing the fleeting lives that we all have. Written over and over again in the sky are the lyrics: "It happened too fast, to make sense of it, make it last..." I feel that this piece showcases my skill in Photoshop well, along with my ability to visualize unique concepts.
Mandala
For this project, I was required to create symbolic artwork representing who I am as a person. I have done so much work representing other people and organizations, but I had trouble thinking up symbols to represent myself. I found this project valuable because it challenged me to do that more effectively in a visual way. Artistically, I really like the way everything works together in this piece.
